There are a number of Special Sundays throughout the year where we recognize different ministries the larger church is involved in, celebrate the special people or  pets in our lives, focus on the needs of the world, and celebrate the holy holidays. Some of these special Sundays are Human Relations Day, UMCOR Sunday, Native American Ministries Sunday, Peace with Justice Sunday, World Communion Sunday, United Methodist Student Sunday, Laity Sunday, Advent and Christmas, and Lent and Easter. For a full list of United Methodist Special Sundays and what they support you can visit The United Methodist Church web page at

Pet Blessing Sunday

Our Annual Pet Blessing takes place in October. Bring furry, four-pawed, winged, or crawling pets to be blessed in the sanctuary. Service pets are welcome in worship anytime.

Advent and Christmas Seasons

Advent and Christmas offer multiple opportunities for special worship services. Before the First Sunday of Advent, we deck the halls of the church with a Christmas Tree and garlands of lights. The Third Sunday of Advent is our Annual Christmas Carol sing along. Carols are chosen by the congregation.

The Christmas Eve service features lessons and carols and ends with a candlelit “Silent Night.” The light dinner begins at 5:30 PM, with the service beginning at 6:00 PM. If you have a dinner tradition with your family, feel free to join us at 6. The service is family friendly.

Lent and Easter Seasons

During Lent and Holy Week a variety of worship services take place beginning on Ash Wednesday, remembering the passion and crucifixion of Jesus, and culminating with our celebration of Jesus’ resurrection on Easter Sunday.

A family friendly service is followed by an Easter brunch and Easter egg hunt.

Worship in the Peace Garden

At least once every summer we celebrate worship in our Peace Garden.
